D. Appleton-Century, 1940. First Edition. hardcover. Very Good Minus/Very Good Minus. 8x6x2. Very good minus first edition first printing (1940)- 1 appears on last page of text- in very good minus price unclipped dust jacket ($2.50). Hinges intact, binding solid and square. Previous owner's and previous bookseller's markings on endpapers. Jacket flaps and reverse of half title page have check-marks next to Lincoln titles. Quick flip thru of pages revealed no writing in body of book. Rear board has spotting/staining .Jacket is generally nice with some shelfwear, and tattering at the spine. Protected in a clear attractive Mylar cover. We use quality packaging materials (including boxes!) for shipping.
