ROME: EDIZIONI DI STORIA LETTERATURA, 1960 Buff printed paper covers (Paperback) 250 x 175 mm approx. 145 pp + 70 b/w facsimile script reproductions on 42 pp of glossy plates as called for. Expanded study of Florentine scribes based on the author's paper read at the "Convegno Internazionale di Studi sull Umanesimo" at La Mendola Aug.1956. These and other calligraphers influenced the design of early movable type in the development of printing in Europe. Good (Covers Moderate general shelf rubbing and soiling with tears at head and tail of spine hinges and glue to book block of spine failing. Red title to spine faded. Book block - text pages evenly age tanned. No previous owner name or insc. Sewing holding and signatures not strained. No other notable defects).
