The "desert giant" referred to in the title is are the Blythe Intaglios or Blythe Geoglyphs, a group of gigantic figures incised on the ground near Blythe, California, in the Colorado Desert, which can still be seen today. In matte (flat finish) illustrated boards with blue spine, black and white multi-scene endpapers. Small picture of the Hardy Boys on the spine is repeated on the upper right corner of back cover. Frontispiece and internals. Lists to #50 on back cover. 182 pp.
