Robert Hale, 1957. Hardcover. Good/Acceptable. 1957. First Edition Thus. 253 pages. Pictorial jacket over brown cloth with gilt lettering to spine. Contains black and white photographic plates throughout, with map towards front of textblock. Pages are mildly tanned and foxed, but text remains clear. Plates are bright. Binding is firm. Price inscription to front free endpaper. Boards and spine have minimal shelf-wear, with mild corner bumping and crushing to ends. Gilt remains bright. Noticeable marks overall. Book has a slight forward lean. Unclipped jacket. Light tanning and foxing to all surfaces. Moderate edgewear, with noticeable chipping, tearing and creasing, and slight loss to spine ends. Moderate marking to exterior.
