Hardcover with dust jacket, published by University of Iowa Press, 1988. First edition. Dust jacket is not price clipped. A collection of eleven essays by the inspiration for the character 'Mr. Keating' of 'Dead Poets Society'. Green cloth covered boards, with the author name and title imprinted in gold on the spine. Boards are flat, the corners are not bumped or creased. Jacket has small closed tears at the top front left and bottom left, both about 1/2" long, some sun fading to the spine panel. Jacket has been protected with a clear, removable cover. Edges of the text block show many dots of age tanning, fore edge and top edge. Not a remainder, not a library discard. No former ownership marks. The attached photo is of the copy we have in our inventory.
