Copy has prior owner's name and date (Christmas 1880) neatly inscribed on second front flyleaf. Boards are Dark Green, with embossed design around edge (front, back and spine), plus gilt lettering on spine. Boards have light wear at top and bottom of spine. Otherwise, boards and pages are clean, unmarked (except for owner's name as indicated), bright, tightly bound and sharp cornered. Scarce, Out Of Print, Book. Includes 184 pages plus 3 pages of lists of additional Tennyson Works. .

Prague: Borovy, 1927 This copy is number 459 of a limited edition of 600 copies. It has been nicely rebound in pebbled red cloth with the front cover bound in (see photos). Cover design on wrappers edition by Mrkvicka, 80pp., with five colored drawings by Sima. One of the most important publications of the Czech avant -garde in the 1920s.

The dust jacket has some soiling with tears at edges of the spine and corners, see photos. Book itself is in Near Fine condition with the exception of a stain inside the cover which transferred to the FEP and bled onto two pages beneath. (Lowered the rating to Very Good). The black boards with blue lettering have bumped spine edges.

Burroughs was the prominent 19th century American literary naturalist for whom the Burroughs Medal (the highest award in this country for writing in natural history) is named. Berkeley:: Burton Weiss & James Musser,, 1999.. Limited Edition. A Fine, unread copy. This copy is number 31 of only 65 copies quarter-bound by John DeMerritt in cloth and marbled paper boards. In 1955 at the age of 21, the unknown writer Richard Brautigan had been living in Eugene, Oregon with the family of Edna Webster that was not his own; He was also preparing to leave Oregon for San Francisco to make his mark as a writer. In gratitude for Edna's generosity, he signed over to her the ownership rights to all of his heretofore unpublished fiction and poetry manuscripts. From 1955 until 1992, Edna Webster retained all of the Brautigan material that he gave her in a safe deposit box until she sold the archive to a rare bookseller in the Bay area. After placing the collection in the Bancroft Library, the bookseller arranged for the publication of the prose and poems that appears in this volume. The material is classic Brautigan and considered some of his best .

In Very Good Condition: leather is rubbed; spine repaired with japanese tissue; edges of first and last leaves darkened from glue used on fixed endpapers; some pages lightly browning; otherwise, clean and tight.
