Scarce work. Illustrated with a portrait frontispiece, two plates, two maps, and one folding map. Collated complete. A collection of travel writing from the author's journeys across the West of England, the Midland counties, and the county of Kent. Includes historical anecdotes, commentary on the improvements by the rising generation, and poetical extracts. Written by John Evans, a Welsh explorer known for producing an early map of the Missouri River. Bound in full mottled calf. Externally, worn with rubbing resulting in light loss to the extremities. Front board detached. Rear hinge starting but firm. Fading to the spine and the odd mark to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright with light spotting. The odd handling mark. Pencil inscriptions to the endpapers. Good Only
