New York: Thomas Y. Crowell Company, 1970. First Edition, first printing. Trade Paperback. Good -. 8vo (23cm). x, frontis. map, 243. Quite worn, with damp staining to base of covers and cockling to adjacent pages. Upper tip bumped. Inscribed by author in ink to front inner cover, 'To Albert Lutley, with warmest wishes from the author,' dated Cambridge, Trinity College, 1972. Loosely laid in, a postcard from author to Mr Lutley, of Clare College, thanking him for his friendship, etc. Albert Lutley, would be Albert French Lutley (1905-1975), son of China Inland Mission missionary Albert Lutley. Morton was also a missionary to China, serving in Manchuria before the Second World War.
