"To Herat and Cabul - A Story of the First Afghan War" by G.A. Henty. 1902 1st edition; Blackie & Son; London. The book features a two-page map of "Afghanistan and North West Frontier of India," and eight full-page illustrations by Charles M. Sheldon (all illustrations are present). There is a 32-page publisher's catalog at the back (with illustrations).

Condition:
Clean back cover and spine; there are 3 very light, thin stain lines on the front cover that are barely visible. Sharp cover corners. Tight binding with no cracks and no loose pages. Nice interior - the pages are clean with only some light smudging at the outer margin of page 50, and initials written in red ink on the title page. There is a neatly written inscription in ink dated 1902 on the front end paper. Overall the book is in Very Good+ condition.
