Foxing slightly more noticeable to endpapers and pastedowns. Very occasional slight pencil marginalia. Presumed mild wear and bumping to spine, board edges and corners. May have some soiling and marking, and sunning to spine. Unclipped dust jacket. Sticker to front flap. Mild wear, with small (approx. 1cm) tears to edges and corners. Heavy sunning to spine and edges. Part of sticky back plastic torn away from rear panel, taking some text with it. Small address sticker to front flap.

Pages are moderately tanned and occasionally foxed throughout. Previous owner's inscription to front free end-paper. Occasional pencil underlining. Some occasional moderate cracking to gutters throughout, binding remains reasonably firm. Hinges are cracked with exposed netting. Boards have moderate edge-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Mild crushing to spine ends. Cloth has minor damp and dust stains. Book has a slight forward lean. Splitting and fraying front joint at the top. Ring mark to front board. Cloth has moderate damp and dust stains. Heavier at the rear board. Gilt lettering is darkened.

Blue cloth with gilt titles to spine and cover though the gilt is worn off save for a bit of the name and star emblem on the cover; 8.75" x 6"; [viii], 323, [2] ads pp.Top of the title page reads "A Book fo Initiates" and the book is sometimes presented with that title but the cover and spine show the title as The Golden Star. Spiritual journey of Ma-u and Ma-uti who are lead by the Divine Messanger Neteru-Hem through the spiritual hierarchy from the Domains of Night to God. In the introductory Note, the author says the some of the messages are based on the "Secret Doctrine" of Madame Blavatsky.
