Covers dulled and quite worn along the edges, though not through the cloth at any point; Longish contemporary gift inscription to end-paper; Contents very good.. Blue cloth with gilt titles to spine and cover though the gilt is worn off save for a bit of the name and star emblem on the cover; 8.75" x 6"; [viii], 323, [2] ads pp.Top of the title page reads "A Book fo Initiates" and the book is sometimes presented with that title but the cover and spine show the title as The Golden Star. Spiritual journey of Ma-u and Ma-uti who are lead by the Divine Messanger Neteru-Hem through the spiritual hierarchy from the Domains of Night to God. In the introductory Note, the author says the some of the messages are based on the "Secret Doctrine" of Madame Blavatsky.
