First edition, first printing in black cloth binding with page top edges stained red. A bright, square NF hardcover in VG, price-clipped dust jacket with chipping at crown of spine and along top panel of the rear of the dust jacket and a half-inch chip in the center of dust jacket's spine. Minor edgewear along the lower edges of the DJ. No internal markings. Protected in Gaylord DJ cover.
Synopsis
Go Down, Moses is a collection of Faulkner's stories that once strung together, tell the composite history of the McCaslin family, specifically of the white and black descendants of Lucius Quintus Carothers McCaslin and the residents of the plantation he founded.
