This book is a sketch of English writers from the Celts to the reign of Victoria, covering Chaucer and his contempoaries, the reign of Elizabeth I, the commonwealth and revolution. In signed binding by Bickers and Son. In wonderful signed full calf binding. Externally, excellent. Previous owner inscription to the page after the front free endpaper.
