After a six year break from writing in order to restore the grounds, Sackville-West began writing once more in order to help fund her gardens, including a regular column for The Observer entitled 'In Your Garden'.Vita Sackville-West was an English poet, novelist and horticulturalist, as well as a prolific letter writer and diarist.
