Battlefield map on endpapers. Solid binding, clean interior.  David Humphreys Miller was an artist & historian who was adopted by various indigenous communities. Additionally, he also worked for the Atomic Energy Commission & U. S. Army intelligence. This book attempted to be the first complete account of the famous Battle of the Little Big Horn. Miller drew the front cover illustration, the sketches throughout, and is also pictured on the back of the dust jacket with five of the last remaining survivors of the battle, still living in 1948.; B&W Illustrations; 8vo 5.5" - 8" tall; 272 pp; Pictorial dust jacket, blue color, mylar-wrapped, not price-clipped, markings on spinal head and hinges; in good condition.
