About This Item

This signed First Edition First Printing copy of "Circling the Sun, A Novel" by Paula McLain was published by Ballantine Books in 2015. It is a novel centered on colonial Kenya in the 1920s. The historical fiction tale is about a fearless and captivating woman who is a record-setting aviator caught up in a passionate love triangle with a safari hunter and Karen Blixen, who as Isak Dinesen wrote the classic memoir Out of Africa. The book, which is a First Edition, First Printing, is signed by Paula McClain on the title page.

The book, which measures approximately 6 ½ x 9 1/2 inches, contains 384 pages and is bound in a hard cover with gilt lettering on the spine. The book and un-price clipped dust jacket are both in "as new" condition. It is a tight, clean copy with no markings of any kind. The illustrations accompanying this description show the front face of the dust jacket, the map of the area where the story takes place (repeated on both the front and rear end papers), the signed title page, and a typical 2-page spread of text.

Paula McLain (born 1965) is an American author best known for her novel, The Paris Wife, a fictionalized account of Ernest Hemingway's first marriage, which became a long-time New York Times bestseller. She has published two collections of poetry, a memoir about growing up in the foster system, and the novel A Ticket to Ride. [Wikipedia]

About Pages For Sages

Pages For Sages has been in the business of buying and selling rare and used books, ephemera, and other unusual items for over forty years. We have long depended on book fairs, printed catalogs, auctions, and the like to support the business. Now, in our later years (ages 90 and 92) we are taking this step to display a catalog of inventory on the Biblio web site for your consideration. The number of our listings will grow as we continue the process of adding items from our inventory - please come back from time to time to find additional offerings.
