Very Good. 428pp; Maroon cloth boards with gilt titling to front, green titling to spine, boards square & clean with slight wear to corners of boards, pages slightly age-toned, text unmarked, binding is sound, VG condition. Scarce, quaint, antique guide to reading character by analyzing physical characteristics such as head shape, body type, hair color and eye color, in part to help employers find good employees and to assist individuals in their search for a spouse. The prolific self-help, poetry, sexology and New Thought author David Van Bush (1882-1959) and his mysterious co-author W. Waugh identified five human types: Alimentive, Thoracic, Muscular, Osseous and Cerebral. At various points, Bush employed H.P. Lovecraft to revise many of his publications. Illustrated with diagrams & photos.
