About This Item

London: Kegan Paul, Trench, Trubner & Co, Ltd., 1891. Cloth. Very Good Indeed. 8" by 5.5". None. A lovely reprint of this non-fiction work by H. Rider Haggard, detailing his time in South Africa. 'Cetywayo and his White Neighbours' was H. Rider Haggard's first full-length work to be published, and tells of his time spent working in South Africa and his experiences of the Zulu king Cetshwayo KamPande.H. Rider Haggard (1856-1925) was an English novelist primarily known for his works of adventure fiction, including 'She' and 'King Solomon's Mines'. The majority of his works have exotic settings, primarily Africa, and he was an extremely prolific writer, producing over fifty novels, three short story collections and a number of non-fiction works and works published in periodicals. His works have been adapted for screen many times. With eighty pages of publisher's advertisements bound to the rear. In the publisher's original full cloth binding. Externally very smart, minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine and edges. Internally generally firmly bound, front hinge is straining but firm, pages are bright and clean. Very Good Indeed
