* Manual of bayonet exercise: prepared for the use of the army of the United States. Printed by Order of the War Department, Published by J.B Lippincott & Co., Philadelphia (1861) authored by George B. McClellan, Capt.1st Regt, Cavalry, U.S.A.......Dark brown leather covered boards with gilt titling on spine are good boards do have some minor chipping at corners and spine. Gilt titling is readable but has some fading. Spine is tight with no tearing at hinges. Pages are good but have minor tanning at edges. Illustrations of Bayonet fighting positions are ok, some have faded a bit but all appear to be viewable. Overall a good copy of a rare civil war manual, and if you want to really get good at this I'd start with some ballroom dancing lessons to get light on your feet, a video camera so you can critique your movements, Xerox some of the send paper fold out sheets in the back with the positions and make yourself some flash cards, after you master this you can take up fencing, any level of mastering a sport the video feedback really helps.......Ruth Reaser..LAX Vespa, Los Angeles Culver City- maybe this will do it!-At least you know what you're getting into-City-Media Mail USPS-you get the copy you were viewing carefully Drop kick-packed to protect it - in - transit.......Bayonet Exercises 5941 HC Military 1 LB
