About This Item
Collins. First edition, first impression. 1938 Original orange cloth cover book is bright but it looks as though it had some type of cover at one time that was removed to reveal a lovely bright orange. Some of old cover still remains. Not ex-library, no ownership marks. A 2"x 1/2" piece removed from top right corner of Part I page. FEP and last two Advert pages a little loose and split from spine but holding. Lightly smudged here and there throughout. For it's age a very nice collectible book. Comes in a nice facsimile dust jacket mylar protected.
Synopsis
Among the towering red cliffs of Petra, like some monstrous swollen Buddha, sat the corpse of Mrs Boynton. A tiny puncture mark on her wrist was the only sign of the fatal injection that had killed her. With only 24 hours available to solve the mystery, Hercule Poirot recalled a chance remark he'd overheard back in Jerusalem: 'You see, don't you, that she's got to be killed?' Mrs Boynton was, indeed, the most detestable woman he'd ever met.
