FIRST EDITION 1887, small oblong format, 78 x 104 mm, 3 x 4¼ inches, cloth backed glazed colour illustrated cream boards, all edges yellow, green endpapers, (24) pages. Coloured frontispiece, coloured title illustration, 12 half page coloured illustrations for the months, followed by 4 pages each with a small round coloured illustration for the seasons, plus 4 pages each with a poem and 2 small coloured flower illustrations (Herrick, Spenser, Shakespeare and Fletcher). Yellow spine and board edges very slightly darkened, a touch of wear to corners, 2 minute shallow dents to edge of lower board, no inscriptions. Near Fine tight clean bright copy. Schuster No.7, 5a.
