Loosely based on Dominique Vivant's 1777 erotic novel "Point de lendemain" (No Tomorrow). Director Louis Malle's second film, following a wealthy woman who becomes bored with both her emotionally distant husband and her lover, and begins a new affair with a young stranger. After its release in the US, the film became the subject of a landmark First Amendment case before the Supreme Court, wherein Justice Potter Stewart, in declaring the film not obscene, issued the immortal phrase "I know it when I see it" in regards to what constitutes pornographic material.

Shot on location in Cote-d'Or, Haute-Provence, Burgundy, and Paris.

12 x 9.5 inches. Two leaves, folded vertically and bound with two staples. Very Good plus, with light edgewear, creasing, and pinholes to the corners.
