Published in Chicago for the Junior Chamber of Commerce (Nebraska Edition). This issue is notable for its article "Yankees - The Wonder Team", by Albon Holden. The three-page article includes statistics and photographs of the '39 Yankees, in what would turn out be Lou Gehrig's last year. An uncommon article just waiting for a home on your New York Yankees bookshelf. The covers shwo light edgewear with a crease to the upper front corner. A mailing label appears on the rear cover, which also has a 1/4" edge tear. A clean, tight copy. Scarce. Size: 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall

Undated, but the binding indicates a publication date circa 1885. 360 pages. With four illustrations, all on plain paper. The cloth shows mild edgewear and rubbing, with a bit of soil and scratching to the rear. Tiny frays present at the head and heel. Hinges solid, binding square. Paper a bit toned but not brittle. Former owner's name in pencil to the ffe, otherwise unmarked. A clean, tight copy. Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall

White Plains: Balletto-Sweetman, Inc., 1941. Full Cloth. No Jacket. Photograph. Bound in green cloth with titles in silver. 136 pages. Frontispiece photo of the author. Ex-library from BoysTown, Nebraska, with an old bookplate to the front pastedown, stamps to the text block edges and page 99, and card pocket / date due material to the rear endpapers. No marks to the cloth. At a quick glance it appears to a crime novel, with characters traveling back and forth across the Atlantic. Two leaves corner chipped, with no loss of text. The front cover does have some creasing, but the hinges are solid and the binding is square. Quite scarce (as is anything by this publisher), and apparently the author's only book. Not in Hubin (1984).

New York: J.H. Sears & Company, 1929. Hardcover. Very Good. Dark green hardcover with red lettering on cover and spine. Hinges tight. The front free endpaper has a scuff from a bookplate removal. There is a 1 inch by 1/8th inch dark stain on the closed edge of lower corner of text block; does not intrude inside the book.

With a frontispeice (with tissue guard) and 5 internal illustrations by Reginald Birch. 253 pages. The cloth shows only a touch of edgewear with tiny frays at the corners, head and heel.
