Paperwraps folio in tan cardstock, 9x12", 18 pp. 11 pieces from various genre, starting with Farmers Jubilee, but including Wai Puna (Bubbling Water) by Wm. K. Alohikea; Enoea Waltz by Steiner; and Hawaiian Glide by Alohikea. . Good to VG: light soil, name on front cover near top (see our photo) else unmarked, solid.

Very Good; clean, 3/4" crease bottom corner, trace of pencil erasure.

Paiull-Pioneer Music Corporation, 1946.. Paperwraps 9" x 12" folio, 32 pp. Cover photo shows him with a 6-string tiple (4 courses, 2 doubled). 17 original songs by Hall, known as "the red-haired music maker"... In 1923, he released the song "It Ain't Gonna Rain No Mo'", which sold over two million copies, and Eveready Batteries painted their battery tops red to match Hall's, and cash in on his popularity. Now a very scarce songbook 17 original songs by Hall, the Pineapple picador. Fine: clean, straight, unmarked. (Scarce in any condition- no other copies known of at ime of entry).

Richwood West Virginia: Jim Comstock, 1974, first edition.. Hardcover in brown cloth with gilt titles, 8.8", 556 pages.  256 of the pages are stuffed with double-column text, arranged encyclopedically following keywords, including some songs, descriptions of people, stories, recordings, etc/: however Cox and John Hardy-John Henry set off extensive quoted sections in single-column format, 130 pages from a WPA booklet edited by John Harrington Cox, who earlier edited the 1925 Folk Songs of the South including 35 songs with music, and Cox s notes; the John Henry section quotes the entire 142-page study by Louis Chappell, 144 pages, including many versions of songs... then the encyclopedia resumes. . Condition: Near Fine: Clean, straight, unmarked, with a little foxing on the title pages and last pages of each volume; a small waterstain at top of vol 2 title page and next few leaves. Otherwise perfect.

With two major articles: "The Musical Odyssey of Charles Seeger", by Richard A Reuss, a biographical study, involving his violin training, his passion for American folk music, and his relationships withi the political left; and a study of Andulsian Folk Drama, by Stanley Brades. Near Fine: clean, straight and unmarked.

Bright.

Hardcover in beige ribbed cloth, 7x10", 104 pp. For use with Four and Five Year Olds in Home, School, And Church School: 134 songs, hymns, and singing games for small children, with words and music; also 17 instrumental pieces and some poems. . Very Good: small and light church stamp on front cover, else near fine: clean, bright, straight and otherwise unmarked.

Hardcover, 9.6x6.5" oblong, 159 pp + index; hardcover; paper-covered boards, charcoal black cloth spine. 12 pp of music theory, then 92 songs or chorusses, 57 church tunes, and 7 anthems. . One of America's most popular writers in the 40's and 50's, Carmer was also a serious student of southern traditions, fiddle and folk music, Ships well protected in cardboard mailer plus. Very Good in Good jacket: book is solid and unmarked; jacket is clean but has rub lines along spine edge and chips across top 1/4 inch of spine and 1/4 x1/2 inch at top front next to spine. Jacket in new archival quality clear protector not shown in photo.

Very Good, near Fine: outside is clean, bright; inner pages are a little age-dulled; no marks, no wrinkles. Stamp of original drugstore, in Otsego, Mich, on lower back panel.
