This book tells the stories of 8 men who were part of the 36th Army Division known as the "Texas Division," that took part of important battles during the later years of WWII. Colonel Vincent Lockhart, a former WWII vet, tells their stories here. This copy is NOT an ex-library copy. Personalized inscription on FFE. Dust jacket has light rubbing and scraping to the outside edges of dj. A couple of small tears on the DJ. Mustard colored boards are clean, gilt titling and image are bright. Binding is firm. Quite a nice copy. 324 pages.

Daeha Publication Company, 1965. Hardcover. Acceptable. Hardcover book, in English, written by the Korean General who created the martial art form known as Taekwon-Do. Rubbed and scuffed dust jacket is underneath an old plastic archival jacket. White portions of pictorial cover have yellowed. DJ has nicks, small tears and is crimped along edges. Green cloth covered boards, embossed with silver and stamp of fist. Boards are scraped and shelf-worn, with mashed heel of spine. Top board bows upward. Moisture waves to FFE. Smudges on flyleaf pages, with gift inscription (?) in Dutch (?) dated 1977. Title page has significant horizontal tear (looks like it was cut), and bottom corner has been torn away. Toning to pages, and text block is yellowed/toned. Pages 301 thru end paper have vertical tears. Various pages are soiled. Binding is good. Quite collectible and usable. 304 pages.

Yellowing to white portions of dust jacket with stains to text-block edges. NOT an ex-library copy. We've placed a clear archival jacket over original dust jacket to preserve the integrity of the DJ. Pictorial boards are a little scuffed, but in overall good condition. Shelf-wear to bottom edges and to lower spine strip. Two dings on bottom of rear board. Worn corners and lightly dented tips. Far Eastern Publications - Yale University, 1976. Softcover. Acceptable. 142 pps. Hugh Stimson was long-time professor of Chinese linguistics and modern Chinese at Yale University who also was a prominent authority on Tang dynasty poetry. This red soft cover book has fading to the cover along the edges and more so on the spine. Covers and spine are bumped and scraped along edges. Front cover has staining near the top which possibly could have been some kind of liquid, so upper part of front cover is a little wavy. Text block also has a wave to it at upper corners. Back cover has fading and stains, with creased corner tips. Every page in the book has pencil marks around the section numbers, and blue pencil underlining at the beginning of book. Perfectly readable copy.

Large chips/tears all the way around edges and at spine ends of the DJ. Foxing to dust jacket, textblock edges, paste downs and endpapers. Grey cloth covered boards are age-toned around edges, and faded on the bottom edges. Dented and worn corners. Pages are age-toned, free of markings. A gift inscription on FFE, and tucked within pages is a hard written Christmas card for the person who received the book as a gift in 1953. At some point it had been fastened to the first few pages with a paperclip, which left some rust stains and an impression on the first few pages. Paper covered boards with a marble-esque pattern. Brown faux leather binding with gilt lettering. Creases along spine. Book cocks. Dent on edge of rear board. Worn corner tips and shelf-wearing to bottom edges of boards. Former owner name top right corner of FEP. Moisture wave in gutters near the back of the book. Front and back pastedowns and end pages are quite age-toned, pages less so. Text block is age-toned and stained. Quite nice reading copy with binding still in good shape. Part I: The Normal Eye, Determination of Refraction, Diseases of the Media, Physiological Optics, and Theory of the Ophthalmoscope. Brown cloth board covers are faded, scratched, rubbed, soiled and worn. Corner tips, heel and head of spine are quite worn and almost threadbare. Bottom of boards are scraped. Tail and head of spine are mashed and worn. Corner tips are dented. The hinges between pastedowns and end pages are split, revealing the liner material underneath. Two small bookseller stickers on the paste down, and the number "500" written in pencil. FFE has previous owner name written in a beautiful script. The word ADD is in the upper right corner.
