Depending on exactly when in 1962 this was published, it may also be his first appearance in print. (The only thing that could have preceded it was the appearance of "Talking John Birch" in the February 1962 issue of Broadside.) "Talking Folklore Center, written as an homage to the Folklore Center's proprietor, Izzy Young, is a humorous talking blues about Dylan's arrival in NYC, and how he stumbled onto the Folklore Center in Greenwich Village: "on MacDougal Street I saw a cubby hole / I went in to get out of the cold / Found out after I entered / The place was called the Folklore Center / ---Owned by Izzy Young---he's always in back---of the center." Prints a long anonymous text (probably by Emmett Grogan) about rebellion against America's consumer culture stating: "the diggers are a rebellion against commodities and the hierarchy of commodity values. Through FREE diggers expose the lie of the oppressive rationality of commodities and affirm their human superiority." Also mentions that: "Gregory Corso's poem POWER was the sole reason behind the concept of the Diggers: autonomy." A text very much reflective of the Digger ethos. Very fine.

n.p.:n.p., [1965].. Burroughs is standing on a fire escape in NYC in the sixties. He's wearing a suit, tie, and fedora, and is holding a cigarette at waist level. He's looking directly into the camera with a deadpan, classic Burroughsian look. One of the best shots of Burroughs we've seen. Fine (10" x 8").

No place: no publisher, ca. 1957.. Patchen is on a rooftop wearing an over coat looking down forlornly at at his many colorful hand painted books that are spread out before him displaying both the front and back painted covers. Fine (image 8" x 8" with larger white border).
