Has the back photo of New York Post article on Andy Warhol's shooting by Valerie Solanas. With this copy is also a New York Times article, appearing 25 years after Warhol's death (from gall bladder surgery), about Solanas's marking up copies of her book at the New York Public Library.

This satirical look at Bloomsbury life is drawn from Mahood's grandmother's sketchbook of the time. She knew D.H. Lawrence, Freud, Rodin, and Bernard Shaw, and did sketches of them. Shows the quirky goings on of the time, in wonderful cartoons. Imaginative and clever.

Lovely juvenile natural history book, with woodcut illustrations of various animals. Quaker daughter of Samuel Botham, who was also novelist and poet. Book is tight, clean, with considerable foxing. No marks or rips. Top and bottom of spine slight wear. Charming.

Book is near mint condition. Front and back endpapers have some light foxing but otherwise no marks, tears, etc. Very clean and bright.

This has been issued on the internet, but here is the real deal. Uncut pages showing quality printing on a variety of paper types. Examples show wide range of printing techniques, all samples identified. An extraordinary overview of the possibilities of fine printing. Book is tight, pages are uncut, rough pages, print examples all clean, many full color. Spine is missing small piece.

This is a later printing of the 1945 first edition, with illustrations by Garth Williams. The book itself is very good, with no marks, no tears except for front endpaper corner, which is missing 1-inch of corner and has owner's small name stamp. Back endpapers are fine. Copyright page has K-B print code.
Dust jacket is poor, with tears and owner's name stamp on front flap; also discoloration on front flap and top 1/2 inch is missing (including price) but "Harper & Brothers, Publishers" is at bottom. Jacket spine is torn and missing pieces. Back jacket cover is intact but has thin red smear. Back flap is good.
