A couple of tight cracks between pages near the center of text; binding holding together well. Some pages appear reglued at the hinge ends. A fascinating biography covering Armstrong's Hawaii days 1839-1860, his college life, Civil War service, and his work with Blacks and Indians until his death in 1883.
