Description:
First edition. Signed by the author on the title page. The slightest trace of offsetting to the first free endpaper, otherwise a fine copy. In a very nearly fine, unclipped dust jacket just with the slightest chipping to the edges and a small closed tear between the rear panel and the spine. A bright, beautiful copy.

Description:
First edition. First printing. A fine copy, only with the slightest edge wear to the boards and a little lean to the spine. Some toning to the pastedowns, unworthy of note. The contents crisp. The unclipped dust jacket nearly fine, showing just a touch of wear at the extremities. A tiny closed tear at the bottom of the front panel, and a little nick at the bottom of the rear panel. An outstanding copy overall of Asimov s second science fiction novel, continuing the Empire Series after Pebble in the Sky. He would go on to write over 500 books, and is remembered as one of the Big Three writers of science fiction, alongside Robert Heinlein and Arthur Clarke.

Description:
London: Longmans, Green, and Co., 1886First edition - the first English hardcover edition, in the original salmon cloth. The bookplate of George Barr McCutcheon, the 19th Century American novelist and playwright, on the front pastedown. A very good copy, only with a bit of rubbing to the cloth. Slightly worn edges, and bumps to the extremities of the spine. A crack to the front hinge and the binding a bit shaken, but otherwise a solid and essentially intact volume. The contents fine throughout but for foxing and slight adhesive residue to the first free endpaper, as well a bit of damp stain to the top right corners of pages 73-76. A very handsome example overall of this often fragile volume, the present with interesting provenance. Housed in a custom clamshell box. Laid in is a newspaper clipping from 1887, advertising the very first stage performance of the story. A cornerstone of gothic horror, and one of the most recognizable works in English literature. Jekyll and Hyde is the archetype of tales… Read More

Description:
New York: W.W Norton & Company, 1985First edition. First printing. In the unclipped first issue dust jacket with two reviews on the rear panel. Advance proof copy, with "43546" on the upper corner of the first free endpaper, in the publisher's faint hand stamp. A fine copy in a fine dust jacket, with virtually none of the sunning usually found on the spine - and very uncommon as such. Proof copies were sent to Feynman's office at the California Institute of Technology in the fall of 1984, in advance of the January 1985 release of the book. Most were then given to close friends and colleagues. It is estimated that Feynman only received between 16 and 25 of these copies. An exceptionally desirable example of the legendary memoir. This is the only non-technical book Feynman published - a highly entertaining, humanist look into one of the greatest scientific minds of the 20th Century.
