Lots 372-412 represent the residue of Gretchen McKeever's collection of Tudor material. Many pieces signed to her and other family members. McKeever was the niece of Ned HIlls, Mill Hall, PA. She and her sister Tasha were also one corner of the triangular Sparrow Post fantasy in the 1950s.

Tudor, Tasha. 194 pp. Back of dust jacket is printed totally in black ink and begins, "A Classic Tale.." with six endorsements. Jacket printed by Sim's Press, Inc., Peterborough, NH, and attributed as such at the lower left back of dust jacket. R R S initials at base of spine. There are errant ink marks between the front free endpaper and the first page of the body of the book - perhaps from the printing process ? Dust jacket is lightly sunned at spine. The back has a smudge and a small tear at the bottom.

WLB on spine, space between letters. Jacket: Seven endorsements, What the critics (black) Three cancelled lines bottom of front flap. Dust jacket has 3 cancel lines at the bottom; also a $3.95 price has been canceled and a new price $4.95 printed beside it. There is one small spot at the top of the dust jacket back.

An inscribed name has been roughly ersed from inside the front cover. This is the true first state of the dust jacket; the dust jacket has a blank back. The dust jacket is whole with $3.95 price, small edge tears with an inch closed tear at top of spine. The first edtion has the R R S monogram on book and dust jacket, and a drawing of the Noone House on the front flap. Dust jacket has light soiling especially to spine.

Delhi, India: Gyan Books Pvt. Ltd, 2016. Reprint of a 16th ed from Evberett Press, Boston, 1914. White illustrated paper over boards. F/F. Photographs. Gyan Books Pvt. Ltd., 103, DDA Market, Pocket B, Phase-3, Ashok Vihar, Deli-110052 India prepared this reprint of a 1914 edtiion from the Everett Press, Boston, MA. The 1914 edition is illustrated with photographs of the houses and haunts of the real characters in the 'diry' as well as scenes of Exeter, NH. At least one boy's name from the March 6 entry was changed to conform to 1968 sensibilities.

The book spine is imprinted WLB, but the dust jacket spine still carries R R S. There is a small book shop label inside the back cover: John Cole's ... La Jolla, Ca. The dust jacket is whole and intact, although there is some light water staining. Three black bars cancel the original publisher's name on the front flap of the dust jacket.

Smith Co., Inc. as publiisher, but the dust jacket has that citation ruled out with 3 thick black lines at bottom of front flap. The inked name on the front pasted endpaper. 7 endorsements on the back of dust jacket. DJ is price clipped.

Dust jacket back has 7 endorsements, Sim's Press citation, and a red headline. The book is inscribed to long-time friend Donn Purvis, Carter Hill Road, Concord, NH. Tudor added on page [iv] a pencil drawing of a boy lettering a bulletin board which says: "To Don [sic] with best wishes Tasha Tudor". We have seen one other variation of the same drawing done in ink in Patrick Bauhan's copy of the book. Bauhan was the son of the publisher. These copies are the only two we know of in which Tudor added such a special interpretation of her esteem. The dust jacket shows some light wear. The Purvis house in Concord, NH, is the one Tudor copied for her own final home in Marlboro, Vt. This copy was listed, but did not sell, in a Quinn/Waverly Auction in the fall of 2007. There are the tiniest digs at the corners.

[28] pp. A story shared with Tudor and the author by a classmate in a calligraphy course. The story relates a little girls venture in selling seeds from a catalog in the early 20th century. This is the only copy we've seen with a Donaldson inscription in the Spencerian script which was what she and Tudor were learning together. Inscribed on the title page in Donaldson's Spencerian hand: "To Julie | Joan Donaldson | December 1992

Young boy in his bedroom buttoning his union suit with one candle burning on his antique dresser, another sitting in a cane seated side chair casts its light on the little boy. Tiny mouse family going about their daily routine in lower corners of the painting. Image measures 13 3/4" x 10 3/4". A penciled remarque of a small girl sitting, frowning at her corgi who has its front paws on her left lap. The latter drawing is in the lower right corner of the wide margin. With this early CCI print, there is also one of 25 copies of the Artist's Proof on gray paper. (Presumably none of the pieces were numered as this one is not.) The Certificate is signed and dated 8-16-96 by Harry Davis. At bottom of Certificate a blind stamp reading "ARTWORK BY TASHA TUDOR | AUTHENTICATED BY | CORGI COTTAGE INDUSTRIES | RICHMOND, VIRGINIA" Signed in pencil: "Artist's Proof T. Tudor, 1996
