A little light toning to page edges, not affecting illustrations.The four full page hunting plates of the Old Mickledale Humt are very attractive.

With two typed letters signed. One from Douglas A Stump of the Dial Press to the Historian Ian Grey outlining the contents of the book and asking for his comments on the book. The other is letter is from the author to Ian Grey thanking him for his review of the book in History Today and indicating how Ian Grey had influenced his work. There are draft notes for a reply by Ian Grey in pencil on this letter. Book is tight bright and clean. Letters are bright and clean, though toned along one edge where they have been exposed to light. A first class work with an interesting provenance.

Pp 94. 12 black and white pictures of William Pogany illustrations laid on. Pages in brown text with line drawing decorations at head and heal of text. The last two pages are uncut and losely inserted in this is a 3 page Supplement to Mayle's "Omar" providing a detailed vocabulary of the words used within the text. The supplement is worn at the endges with some loss to blank margins. All pages and binding of this book are in near fine condition.
