Description:
University of Chicago, 1927, First Edition. No dj. Bound in black boards with title and illustration in gold on the front cover, spine also decorated along with title and publisher. Edge and corner wear is as would be expected, former owner's name is lightly penciled on the front flyleaf. Second flyleaf is ceased and has two tears. Title page and flyleaves are separated. However, the sewn binding is only a little loose. Pages are unmarked. Top of the Text block is gilt edged and bottom may have been but has faded. Paper is quite thin and a few are creased. This is not an ex library; The description is based on this book. University of Chicago is known for its high caliber scholarship, especially in the mid-century period.
