Engraved by Matthew James Starling (1805-1889) from an original study by the gifted artist-architect Thomas Allom. Originally produced for the part-work series "Scotland Illustrated" (London : 1835-1838). Steel line engraving on paper. Engraved surface 136 x 174mm (approx. 5-3/8" x 6-7/8"). A few faint marks to outer blank margins, but overall in very good and clean state. A guaranteed genuine antique print.
