Bound in modern quarter brown cloth with brown patterned paper boards. The edges of the leaves are untrimmed and ragged. The interior displays some marginal soiling and wear with occasional chipping and corner creasing. A tear on the lower part of page 19 is professionally and neatly sealed. The upper corner to the final leaf of the index is chipped/torn perhaps affecting a few numbers or letters. The imprint statement on the title page contains some rubbing which obstructs two letters in the word "typographia." A few brief instances of marginalia are written in a miniscule old hand. The corner of the head cap is neatly patched. Generally this is a well read copy. Cornelius Nepos (c. 99-24 b.c.e) was a Roman writer and historian.
