Approx 290 songs with music. Horton's lengthy introductions include tips on how to sing various of the shanties, etc. He is thanked by "s.b.l." in each, and is stated as Editor of the second half. Uncommon in the original edition. Good to Very Good: solid and straight; rubbed at corners and tips and along spine edges; gilt bright. "William Schroeder, M. D. / 1893" embossed in gilt on front board, else unmarked.

London: Joseph Williams, Ltd., 1914 . Paperwraps folio, 11", 29 pp. 16 songs harmonized and arranged by Grenville. : Heart of Oak, Bay of Biscay, The Mermaid, It's Lucky, Truthful Tom, A Life on the Ocean Wave; My Sailor Boy at Sea; Truthful Tom; In Amsterdam; The Arethusa, etc. Grenville wrote various songs and operas between 1870 and 1914, when this was published and also his National Songs of The Allies. There are two known copies of this work, one in the British Library and one in Vancouver BC. Very Good: There is one quarter-inch tear in the spine at the bottom, no other tears nor wrinkles, no marks, pages Fine, a bright copy.

Paperwraps, green cardstock, spine-stapled, 7 13/16 inches, 16 pp. A "collection of Grange Songs and Farm Ballads set to old familiar tunes"; words to 17 songs, including Origin of the Grange, Feasting in the Fourth Degree, Husbandman O Husbandman, Nearer to Nature's God (tone is somewhat pantheistic).. A scarce booklet: WorldCat lists no copies in libraries anywhere. Very good condition, solid and unmarked, green cardstock cover a little aged around the edges.

HB, green cloth, 7.5x8", 188 pp. @190 songs with music; many are simple verses to traditional melodies, about half are folk songs: Blow Boys Blow, Breakfast Bell, Brdige of Avignon, Busy, By the Fireside, Calling Home the Cows, Careful, The Cat, Catkin, the Chair is a Boat, etc. . Very Good: name at top of free front endpaper, else clean and straight, corners lightly rubbed.

Chicago: M. M. Cole, 1938.. Paperwraps, 9", 16 pp. Looks easy: read some how-to, practice these scales in the appropriate keys, play the 8 songs, and you're on the way! . Very Good: paper evenly age-darkened, but supple and otherwise Fine. We ship our songbooks waterproof inside cardboard.
