Handwritten presentation to Chester and Harriet Newton, with cordial greetings from the author (no signature). Bergeron was a prominent Swedish weather scientitist (University of Uppsala) and Newton worked as a scientist for The National Center for Atmospheric Research for many years. This copy is annoted with some underlining in what we assume is Newton's hand. The wraps shows mild wear with a small, faint dampstain in the fore-edge margin and a 1" tear at the upper edge of the front wrap.
