In very good plus ecru coloured cloth boards, green pattern to front with green and gilt titles. The boards are very clean, firm and flat; spine and edges strong. Very lightly foxed end papers. Tinted green top cut edge; the fore and tail edges lighlty foxed. Very good plus text block, especially for age, with tightly bound, straight and clean pages. No dedications etc. In good pictorial dust jacket with circular colour image of man in red coat to front and blue and red titles. The jacket is quite clean, with foxed folds; a little edge-worn with a few very small open and closed tears. Not clipped. Inside plastic cover.

The text block is nearly in as new condition - unread and very clean and tightly bound but with small sticker on half title page with name blacked out and 'Every Child' and logo. With b/w photos and colour reproductions on glossy white pages. Issued without jacket.

The text block is in very good condition, very firm and straight, prelims and cut edges to rear lightly foxed; pages otherwise unmarked. In good off white dust jacket with head of Flaubert and brown titles. The jacket is a little grubby, edges quite firm. Inside plastic cover.

The boards are very tight and straight ad quite clean. "The Clevedon Community Co-operative Bookshop Bindery Team" have strengthened the top and tail edge of the spine book cloth. The Team have also inserted new end papers (dark red), The text block features b/w and bright colour illustrations throughout by John Gilbert, George Cruickshank and R. Dudley. The pages are tightly bound and a some are slightly foxed or marked. Some pages have a slight warp. With bright, unmarked giltl cut edges. No dedications etc.Good plus condition. Without jacket.
