Black hardcover, 5th printing, in dustjacket. A good copy but with a bump to the head of the spine toward the front cover, and general more moderate wear to the board edges and corners. The interior is clean and unmarked in a solid binding. Unclipped jacket is good as well, with bumping at the tips of the spine panels and general scuffing to the glossy black panels. 356 pp., indexed, black and white photo section. Cernan was active in the space program's Gemini and Apollo projects and left the final set of footprints on the moon - Apollo 17.

One page miscut and corner folded so it doesn't stick out past the edges. Some browning to the pastedowns, presumably from the glue used in printing. 72 pp., indexed. A Ye Galleon facsimile from reports from white settlers on the Oregon Trail. In the words of Schlicke, "The natives never actually welcomed the white Americans who came to settle the west."

California: Published by the author, 1987. First edition thus. Paperback. Good. Signed and inscribed by the author on the title page, "For Molly and Bob, with love Jeannette." This is a highly personalized copy, with a typed and signed note laid in, along with a pioneer illustration postcard. A photo of the author and her husband is glued to the first blank the inscription on the photo is not quite legible through the page. On the inside of the rear cover is written the address of Dry Creek Books in Modesto who distributed Maino's books. Trade paperback in good condition, with fading to the blue covers and some bending at the corners. The binding is strong and the pages are clean. 213 numbered pages plus significant back-matter including a bibliography, and notes from the author. A novel of the Donner Party.

A fair to good copy with heavy wear to the edges and spine tips and some soiling to the covers. Interior is much better - clean and unmarked other than the author's signature. Solid binding, though lacking tightness. Unclipped dustjacket is good, colorful and bright with some crinkling and wear to the panel edges, most pronounced at the spine ends. 377 pp., the second book in The Sharing Knife series by Hugo Award winner Bujold.

Signed and inscribed by the author - personalized on the half title to a fellow author and signed and dated on the title page in the year of publication. Minor wear at the spine ends and a bit of dusting at the top text block edges. Jacket with light shelf-wear at the edges. Bright and attractive. 316 pp., the author's first novel.

Brussels: Les Grands Hotels Europeens. Staplebound. Fair. Gustave Flasschoen. Text in French. Staple-bound softcover pamphlet, no publication date but 1930 is indicated in one of the advertisements at rear. A fair copy with the stapled binding intact but pulling away from the covers so they are fragilely attached. Heavy wear to the cover edges and bending at the corners with the top corner tip of the front cover removed. The interior is much better - clean and unmarked but with bending to the corner tips and a feeling for fragile-ness. Unpaginated, around 50 pp. with short historical legends from Brussles and Brabant. But what makes this pamphlet (issued by the Grand Hotels of Europe for their customers) amazing is the artwork - first the illustrations of the legends by Flasschoen, and followed by the beautiful and elegant advertisements at rear. A rough copy.

Berlin, 1843. Fair. Original 1843 printing, text in German. 16 pages with no covers or boards, tape bound at the spine. Ex-Library from two seminary libraries with a stamp to the front indicating withdrawal, and a rear stamp with the library collection written in black ink. Heavily warn and soiled on the outward facing pages with crinkling and staining resulting from the lack of covers. Minor foxing. The corners and edges of the pages are worn, with paper loss at the top of the last pages, not impacting the text. Last few pages are dog-eared. The paper is clothlike and a bit limp. Translated loosely to English, this piece is the "Sermon at the ceremonial funeral of our immortal reformer Dr. Martin Luther's held on February 22, 1546 in the Castle Church in Wittenberg by Bugenhagen."

San Francisco: Chronicle Books, 1991. First edition. Cards. Good. Signed and inscribed by the artist on the title page, "For Gery & Jane - with love 7/9/00 Charles." Tan card covers with title illustration pasted on. A good copy but with bumping to the spine tips and upper corners. The interior is an accordion style collection of baseball figures accompanied by da Vinci's words on art and anatomy. Clean and so clever, but with external wear. Priced accordingly.

A good copy with original sales receipt also signed by the author laid in at front. 96 pp., black and white photos throughout. An interesting history in letters of one young man's experiences in the American Civil War.

Heinz." A near fine copy with minor bending at the spine tips. Clean, tight and square. 140 pp., indexed.

Unclipped jacket with matching bumps to the rear panel, but still very good - clean and attractive. 183 pp., limitation page at rear, but not numbered so this is most likely a reprint. Rapp made his life as a wandering entertainer, a magician and conjurer.

Written like a story, but more of a biography. Also details her involvement in missionary work to China for the Adventists.

A very good copy with a bit of soiling toward the front edge of the covers. Edges and corners are straight, text clean and unmarked. 71 pp., indexed, filled with fascinating photos of the Roosevelt Highway and bridges during their construction.

Chapel Hill: The University Of North Carolina Press, 1998. First edition. Hardcover. Good. Signed without inscription by the author on the title page, "Jerry Cotten" directly below his printed name. White cloth hardcover, 1st edition, lacking dustjacket. A good copy externally, and very good internally. The white cloth has attracted some scuffing, a few spots of soil toward the base of the front cover, and some general darkening around the edges. Internally, a solid, clean and tight copy of this beautiful collection of Wootten's photography. 253 pp., indexed, Wootten was a "Trailblazer for women photographers in the South."

The rear flap of the jacket is folded incorrectly, leaving some of the written matter flowing ot the back panel. 661 pp., indexed. An important work in the development of therapeutic communication between patient and physician. Hard to find in this condition.
