Description:
Soft cover. Good. 12 plates: 4 drawings of kitchen dressers and cabinets, showing the units, with scale drawings to one side, against a black ground 8 delicately coloured drawings of comprehensive bedroom suites, pictured in semi-abstract room settings, again with scale drawings to one side. Each plate with Arch I Zalud logo. No date or publisher details. Zalud was a Czechoslovakian furniture designer and interior decorator in Prague in the 1930s. Large oblong format, 27 x 38.5 cm. String bound Pale turquoise card covers, the top one decorated in abstract style, featuring draftsman's and cabinetmaker's tools, the company logo and a room setting. The covers are a little frayed and worn around the edges, with a small tear to the top of the top cover where it meets the spine. The contents in good clean condition. A rare and unusual trade catalogue featuring the best in pre-World War II modern European design with Art Deco and Modernist influence.
