Wellington's copy with his signature on the title page. Wellington was the author of The Economic Theory of Railroad Location (1887) and other books on railroad finance. Completed in 1869, it was the first rail and road bridge to span the Missouri River. It was built using a combination of wood wrought iron. The project also has the distinction of being the first undertaken by George Morrison who went on to become a major railroad engineer The fold-out view of the bridge is most appealing. On pages one hundred and five and one hundred and seven, corrections to the printed formuli are made i contemporary hand. Professionally rebacked, else a very good copy. Sullivan first wrote Kindergarten Chats to be published in the periodical Interstate Architect and Builder, 1901-1902; this was reprinted in book form 1934. In 1918, however, Sullivan revised his manuscripts for Kindergarten Chats; the revisions remained unpublished until 1947 in the present work. T 1918 revisions show the changes and growth that Sullivan experienced professionally, and are considered to be among his best works. There are numerous changes not in the first book edition of 1934. Scarce. Wrappers lightly rubbed, else very good.

The first volume in the Pittman Technical Primer's series, Macbean's book has photos of some of Great Britain's earliest motion picture studios. One secti gives instruction for blowing up an eighteen inch long miniature house. Whil the spine is slightly darkened and the covers lightly handled, this is still very good copy of an early technical book at the beginning of England's movie industry.
