First edition 1st printing, Very Good book, produced with cheap paper that has age yellowed along page edges, pushed at top of spine, boards and spine were misaligned with the page block, so that the title on spine is shifted off-center toward the back board and a bit more at bottom of spine than at top. Result is that everything is slightly out of line if one examines the book carefully. Dust jacket is very nice, Fine minus with just a touch of light edge and corner wear. Kijewski’s first book, inscribed on title page – To Elaine, So glad to meet you – with very best wishes – signed by author and dated October 1989. Anthony and Shamus Awards winner.

This copy has a bookplate signed by McBain laid-in.

Signed by Pelecanos on the limitation page and also signed by Sallis at his appreciation. Set in Washington D.C., as are most of Pelecanos books.
