Once thought genuine by some authorities, but not now. Signed by the author on page facing title page "To Professor Brian W Downs with cordial greetings from Drake's Californa, Erik Wahlgren", and a later owner's gift message dated 1963 on same page. Set mostly in south Wales but also in France in the late eighteenth century, the story involves the young Louis XVII of France (young son of Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette), turning up in Pembrokeshire by balloon, and with the failed French invasion of Pembrokeshire in 1797. The story (not for children) deals with a woman who becomes a Faerie Priestess. The author is a Faerie Priestess (similar sort of thing to Wicca) in real life, and some years ago ran a Faerie Museum.
