Contains three full-page copperplate engravings, one for each section. Text is in French. A rough translation of the title into English is, "Common Kempis or the IV Books of the Imitation of Jesus Christ, Translated for the Common Edification of all Christians who Desire to Advance in the Solidity of Piety.

There is a plate facing page 17 showing Whitehall, home of Cassius M. Clay.
