Wraps show light edge wear, several small stains, light browning and foxing. Lean to spine. Front inner hinge over opened. Poem written in unknown hand to inside of rear cover. Uncommon signed.

Near Fine in a Near Fine unclipped dust jacket, lightly rubbed and lightly edge-worn. A lovely copy with a fantastic association.

Good+ with light staining to cloth, dampstaining to paste downs and prelims with a little wrinkling and marginal tidemarks to rest of contents, hinges over-opened. Quite scarce signed. The first known English novel in the genre of "Kif Literature," written in the style of an Edgar Allan Poe horror story in which the narrator, a keef smoker, takes the reader through his supernatural search for love powered by "keef wisdom." [vi], 152 pp. Publisher's maroon cloth with gilt lettering. Fine in basically Fine unclipped dust jacket, back panel a little rubbed.

New York: The Viking Press, 1973. First Edition. Near Fine. First edition. A uniquely decorated copy, fully marbled in white, red, yellow, and green by Kesey on covers as well as edges. Painted inscription "For Keith / Ken Kesey" on front free endpaper. According his son Zane, Ken began experimenting with marbling techniques in 1964 while traveling on the bus FURTHUR and dropping acid for the first time. Oil paint floating in a puddle entranced the Merry Pranksters and they began dipping objects into the mixture, creating instant objet d'art. Later in his life Kesey returned to this technique, psychedelically marbling, finishing, and signing around 15-20 books total. This is one of those scarce copies. xviii, 238 pp. Near Fine with paint rubbed off extremities and a small spot on bottom of front board. No jacket. A psychedelic lollipop swirl of original art from the acclaimed writer and countercultural icon.

Original cream and brown boards, recased with new rear cover and new endpapers, spine and front cover lettered in brown, front cover decorated with three-colour design by Vanessa Bell, edges untrimmed. Decorative floral frames throughout the text by Vanessa Bell. Very Good+ with light wear at extremities, minor soiling; lightly toned overall and contents slightly toned. A beautiful copy of this short novel by Virginia Woolf set in the infamous Kew Gardens of London. Its unexpected success was "the most dramatic factor in the Woolf's becoming significant commercial publishers." Woolmer 155.

A very rare signature from prolific American crime writer Fletcher Flora (1914-1969), best-known for his lesbian-themed pulp novels such as Strange Sisters. Journeyman crime authors of the '50s and '60s like Flora did not get many opportunities to sign their work.

Spine panel sunned and lightly soiled, circular indents to rear panel. Hinge at verso of front free endpaper is exposed, and there are two sets of staple punctures to several early pages. A fairly nice copy, for this book anyway.
