Each song has suggestions for playing, e.i, sample arpeggios and when to apply, brush-muffle technique (on Here Comes my Baby), the Church Lick, 3-finger picking, etc., and when to apply them. Could be useful in learning. About Fine: clean, straight, unmarked except original music store stamp on lower title page.

NY: Bourne Publishing, 1940. Paperwraps folio, 9x12", 49 pp. Jimmie Rogers' cousin Jesse and his parents lived in southern Mississippi, picking cotton with Jimmie's father Aron. Contains lyrics, music, guitar chords and charts to 15 cowboy songs, about half written by Jesse. Jesse's titles include The Sun Goes Down; Hummin' to My Honey; Sleepy Little Wrangler; Why Can't Our Worlds Be The Same?; I Love the Name of Texas; Lonely Tumbleweed; also The Martins and the Coys and several other standards. Good: wear and wrinkles, bits of transparent archival mending tape on the spine and 3 short edge tears; music store stamp on lower title page else unmarked.

Joe Davis, Inc., 1937.. Folio paperwraps, 9x12" tall, 64 pp. Many well-known titles with original takes- e.g., Barb'ra Allen begins as told by the man who dies. . Condition Very Good: solid, straight, unmarked; lightly rubbed along spine.

Peer International, 1942.. Folio paperwraps, 9x12" tall, 64 pp. . . Fair: still solid, and unmarked, but exterior is very rubbed and there were splits in the spine at both ends, (now mended with clear archival book-mending tape); contents very good.

You Are My Sunshine, My Mary (w Stuart Hamblen), Worried Mind, It Makes No Difference Now, Nobody's Darling But Mine, When It's Round Up Time in Heaven, I Told You So!, Walls of White, etc. The biography page on Davis states that he is Police Commissioner in Shreveport, so this would be done before he became Governor of Louisiana. Scarce. Good plus: rubbed along spine, with surface layer peeling back in places but not split anywhere (and I'd be glad to apply archival mending tape if requested to! - near invisible and protective); solid, clean and unmarked, text block very good.

Red Sails in the Sunset; The Glory of Love; Lights Out; So Long; Side by Side; Wrap Your Troubles in Dreams; etc. . Good to Very Good; exterior lightly rubbed, unmarked; some tearing on some leaves of bottom edge, appears the sheets where uncut at bottom and roughly opened; several tiny black specks on front.
