The first edition is uncommon in any form.

Slight fading to board edges, jacket toned on verso and extremities, spine browned, small snag on rear panel of jacket at top edge. Overall a remarkably clean copy. The second edition of Stevens' landmark first book, which added fourteen poems and removed three poems from the original publication. 1500 copies were printed. Edelstein A1.b. Connolly 46.

Red cloth with some very slight sunning at top edge, in a jacket with a bit of edgewear and a tiny chip at the head of the spine and some old tape repairs to the verso.

Frankfurt: Zweitausendeins, 1978. Original LP record of Bukowski's reading in Hamburg 18 May 1978. Gatefold sleeve with full text of poems in German and English. Photograph of Bukowski on front cover by Michael Montfort. Top corner of sleeve slightly bumped. Disc is clean and unscratched. The original fold-out poster is not present. Still, a rare and desirable Bukowski item.

Jacket has a few closed tears, edgewear and slight chipping to top edge. Translated by Rémy Inglis Hall, who has warmly inscribed the book on the front free endpaper.

Taos: Este Es Press, 1963. First edition. Hardcover. Very good +. Unpaginated. Comb-bound stiff boards. Text printed in various fonts, interspersed with illustrations appropriated from travel and nudie magazines; other copies seen have completely different cover images, so each copy was likely hand-assembled. Rear board slightly creased, small remnant of label on first endpaper.

San Francisco: Zephyrous [sic] Image, 1972. Broadside. 8 x 11 inches. Linocut and letterpress, printed on newsprint. An iconic image of the press, illustrated with before and after images of a junkie's arm. Several small chips with minor loss to upper and lower right corners and center of right edge. Scarce and fragile. See Johnston, p. 185.

An attractive copy of the first novel to be awarded the Pulitzer Prize, in 1918.

Frontispiece serigraph by Mark Sanders. Here published along with a letter from Lawrence to Willard Johnson from 1924 revealing his unpolished opinions about the ritual.
