Luton: Lennard Publishing, 1988. 1st Edition 1st Printing. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. First edition, first printing. Hardback in dustwrapper. 28.5 × 23cm, 125pp. Signed and dated by Cornel Lucas to the half-title page. "Cornel Lucas, one of the world's most celebrated photographers, has worked in an official capacity as studio photographer on some of the greatest films of our time. His big break came when, as a comparative un-known, he won an assignment to photograph Marlene Dietrich. The result was an image that delighted the star, captured her essential glamour and launched Cornel Lucas on a career that continues today. Through the late 40s, 50s and 60s his work mirrored the rise and fall of stars an the star system, of fashions, and of changes in perceived beauty, whilst in the 70s and 80s he has worked in the new, leaner film industry." This book contains a superb collection of his portraits. Condition: Very good condition, but with some corner creasing to a few pages (not affecting the images).

London: Thames & Hudson, 2010. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Good/Good. First edition. Large hardback in dustwrapper. 30.5 × 25cm, 375pp. This book offers an entirely new understanding of the photographer's extraordinary career and its overlapping contexts of journalism and art. Henri Cartier-Bresson (1908-2004) is one of the most influential and beloved figures in the history of photography. His inventive work of the early 1930s helped define the creative potential of modern photography. Following World War II, he helped found the Magnum photo agency, which enabled photojournalists to reach a broad audience through magazines such as Life while retaining control over their work. Cartier-Bresson would go on to produce major bodies of photographic reportage, capturing such events as China during the revolution, the Soviet Union after Stalin's death, the United States in the postwar boom and Europe as its older cultures confronted modern realities. Published to accompany an exhibition at The Museum of…

Description:
London: Phaidon, 1979. First Edition. . Paperback. Very Good. First edition. Large paperback. 33 × 25.5cm, unpaginated. "One of Hieronymus Bosch's most beautiful triptychs, The Garden of Earthly Delights, represents a landscape stretching from the Garden of Eden on the left wing, across the rolling central plain full of primitive men, birds and animals disporting themselves, to the cold, dark and murky wastes of Hell on the right wing. The painting is large, the three panels together measure 220 × 389cm, and apart from those who have had the good fortune to see the original in the Prado in Madrid, very few readers will ever have been able to study and enjoy the teeming details of this extraordinary vision, depicting the Fall of Man, from the creation to the corruption in the time of Noah, and the horror of Hell. The painting is reproduced in 56 double-page spread details which together recreate in brilliant colour the whole work. Further illustrations show each of the three panels and the superb…
