A tiny puncture to spine paper and a tiny chip to front top cover margin. Interior pages are clean, tight and unmarked - only a neatly written previous owner name in the "This Book Belongs To", dated 1946. Dust Jacket is Good only due to a 2-1/2" x 1-1/2" chip to front panel with two closed tears in same area. Other small closed tears and chips to extremities. A wonderful classic.Hard to find issue. Unpaginated.

A Good or Better volume; Green cloth is mildly scuffed and mottled overall, with a frayed crown and tail of spine cloth. Gilt titles still bright, as is top gilt edge. Center inner gutter is "over-extended", with exposed webbing and rear inner hinge cracked with exposed webbing... but still a very tight text block. Title page in red and black; Preface page has a bent/creased lower corner. All the pages seem to be of different lengths, appearing hand cut and bound. A publishers deckled foredge. The first several page margins have a vintage damp stain - approx 1" each - does not impact text at all. One 1" closed tear to a page foredge (no paper loss). Priced to reflect blemishes. A hard to find title in the original. 192 pages.
