Full color poster with previous folds. Light edge wear. Fine Condition. One-sheet movie poster for the 1962 United Artists film, "Geronimo" starring Chuck Conners and Kamala Devi. As typical of Hollywood, they cast non-Native Americans to play Native American roles. In this case, British and Indian (Asia) actor Kamala Devi was cast as Teela and Chuck Connors as Geronimo. Devi and Connors married (in real life) a year later. Poster in unusually good condition with studio markings on verso.

Green-toned photographic staple-bound wrappers with 28 unnumbered pages. 8 x 9 inches. Previous owners name in pencil on front wrapper. 1/2-inch tear to base of back wrapper. Clean interior. Most common to find these booklets with a vertical fold--this one has never been folded. Very Good Condition. Pamphlet filled with tour suggestions, horse trips, camping tips, auto tour suggestions and lodging ideas. Buried within the booklet is the announcement of the completion of the "Logan Pass Detour", now known as the "Going to the Sun Highway" one of the more beautiful and dramatic roads in any national park. This highway opened in 1933 and dates this pamphlet to sometime after the opening of the road. Rare issue of John S. Dye's Government Counterfeit Detector; no copies of 1888 issues found in OCLC or commerce as of January 2024. Dye first published a counterfeit detector in Cincinnati in 1850, and later published several more counterfeit detectors, a bank note reporter, and a book on notorious counterfeiters of the day. After his death in 1881, associates of Dye's, including Edward S. Wheeler, completed a coin encyclopedia he had nearly finished; Wheeler, and after his death, Frederick A. Collection of 10 letters on a variety of letterheads and sizes. Very Good Condition. According to Wikipedia, "Maude (Maudie) Mason was the protagonist, and narrator, of the "Maudie stories" and "Maudie books" written by American authors Graeme and Sarah Lorimer in the 1930s and '40s, and of the radio show "Maudie's Diary", which aired in 1941-42. The stories, which featured romantic schemes, contemporary slang, and witty banter, revolved around the adventures, tribulations, loves, and losses of an American teenage girl." The Lorimers wrote at least 36 short stories featuring "Maudie" which were published in either the Ladies' Home Journal or Saturday Evening Post, with Graeme devising plots, and Sarah writing dialogue. The two-page bird's eye view is complete but has archival repair and top edge has lost portions of the image. Booklet has slant. Fair Condition. An uncommon viewbook for Salt Lake City with higher quality color illustrations from photographs than normally seen in these viewbooks. Images with gum arabic which helps make them pop! Photos credited to Charles Savage. Savage and Ottinger were partners in a Salt Lake City photo studio and are listed as co-publishers. Their firm was dissolved in 1870. Includes the bird's eye view of Salt Lake, Bear River Bridge, Echo Canon, Mormon Tabernacle, City Hall and 6 more views. The bird's eye panoramic view is counted as two images. This image often is missing from this publication.
