Very Good, solid and unmarked, rubbed near spine, one 1" square slightly darker where tape used to be.

As New, but the staples have rusted: apparently never looked into, crisp, clean, unwrinkled and unfaded.

Very Good: straight and solid, with rubbing at corners; stamps of a town library and withdrawn stamps, and pencilled gift inscription, "to Mary W. Whitman from her cousin W. Perkins." Despite the stamps on endpapers, an attractive little book.
